Position Summary

The Senior Designer demonstrates specialized expertise in designing products that align with the brand’s DNA, ensuring their commercial viability. They adeptly address consumers’ needs and adhere to the seasonal product development calendar. Collaborates with the Design Director, Designers and cross functional teams to create product that delivers solutions for consumers’ needs and works within the seasonal product development calendar. Additionally, the Senior Bra Designer possesses an in-depth understanding of bra construction, pad development, molding techniques and material costs, all aimed at achieving profit goals. Collaboration is key, and exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills are essential for effectively conveying concepts to both internal and external decision makers.

The Senior Designer will work on-site, at our location in Bowling Green, KY. Relocation assistance will be provided.

Specific Responsibilities

Responsible for the design and execution of product, brand identity and business strategy in accordance with seasonal development calendar timelines. Prepare and present concept protos and line drawings for silhouette review and selection. Create first proto design tech packs and dimension specs to provide desired fit and aesthetic direction. Evaluate proto aesthetic, fit, construction and quality. Recommend for adoption.

Responsible for selecting the appropriate fabrics and components to achieve cost targets and deliver the features and benefits for the desired user experience. Responsible for providing development direction to product development teams. Ensure product is being designed within cost parameters and in accordance with seasonal product development calendar timelines.

Responsible for building and maintaining category expertise by consistently shopping and researching marketplace for inspiration, product trend direction and competitive market insights. Collaborate with the category Design team in the development and communication of seasonal category trends. Collaborate with Merchandising team on customer facing trend messaging

Mentor and share design expertise with team to encourage growth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Design, required

  • Expert knowledge of bra sewing techniques, pattern construction, pad development, fitting and grading of bras, technical flat sketch ability

  • Mastery of computerized assisted systems i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), including data entry in PLM

  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office

  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills

  • Domestic travel possible for research, customer presentations and product development

Minimum Job Experience Required

  • 8-10 years of experience in bra design
