The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs. Expectations will be weighed differently depending on the strengths of the candidate and the needs of the department.

  • Clinical supervision of undergraduate and graduate students

  • Undergraduate student advising

  • Instruction at the undergraduate level and elective graduate courses in an area of expertise.

  • Service to the Department, College, and community or profession

    All successful candidates must have the ability to engage in alternative modes of instructional delivery which may include online (distance learning) courses. Instruction modality is based on assigned teaching duties.

    Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech and Language Pathology

  • Holds or is eligible for KY licensure in area of clinical certification

  • A minimum of 3 years post-masters experience

  • Two years of clinical supervisory experience

  • Strong communication skills

  • Evidence of knowledge of technology required for assigned duties.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work well with all levels of faculty, staff, and students

Years of experience, quality of teaching and supervision, and service will be used to determine the rank of assistant or associate clinical professor.
