Boulder Community Hospital RN Internal Traveler - Ortho Neuro in Boulder, Colorado

Internal Traveler - Ortho Neuro Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 Full Time, Nights. 36 hours a week. Pay range is between $70-$80/hr. Rates are market dependent and will be determined at the time of written offer.

Boulder Community health is seeking an Internal Traveler for Ortho Neuro who functions as a direct patient caregiver within the unit’s care delivery system.

Contracts are 13 weeks. External applications accepted New hires cannot be ex-BCH employee. Weekends Required.

Qualifications •Colorado RN license in good standing. •BLS required. •ACLS encouraged for Clinical Team Leads. •ONC certification preferred. •NIHSS certification required •One to two years RN clinical nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities •Provides direct total patient care for specific group of patients with collaboration as needed. •Demonstrates clinical competence in performing nursing procedures and identifies the rationale underlying the nursing skills. •Identifies patient care problems, makes interventions based upon an understanding of the biopsychosocial processes. •Assesses patient status systematically and anticipates and responds to changes in patient clinical condition. •Actively seeks participation of the patient, family, and other members of the health care team to assure continuity of patient care. •Communicates clearly in all aspects of documentation. •Practices universal precautions appropriately. •May be required to perform point of care testing. May be a point of care trainer. •It is the expectation that all care providers document accurately and in real time, utilizing the electronic medical record within their department. •Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission Standards.
