RH2 Engineering Senior Controls Engineer/Project Manager in Bothell, Washington

About the Job

As a Senior Controls Engineer/PM, you will be working and collaborating with other CSNW/RH2 team members in the planning, designing, and software development of control systems for water and wastewater facility projects and industrial manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare SCADA/control system upgrade master plans.

  • Prepare control system designs and perform control system software development for utility facilities for clients throughout the Pacific Northwest.

  • Develop O&M documentation and conduct O&M training sessions.

  • Design coordination with other engineering disciplines including mechanical, structural, chemical, and process engineering as well as with clients, power and communication utilities.

  • Provide project management/leadership on small or sub projects, review construction submittals, and mentor and direct less experienced control staff.

  • Support business development and marketing efforts with preparing responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) from prospective Clients.

    Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering

  • 15+ years related engineering experience

  • 15+ years in SCADA/ control system design including: PLC/ operator interface software development experience (i.e., Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens, etc.), SCADA HMI application software development experience (i.e., Wonderware/AVEVA, RSView, FactoryTalk View, Ignition,etc.)

  • Understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC) and computer networks, including internet/ intranet LAN/WAN networking skills

  • Experience with modern Motor Control Center Technology

  • Landline/ wireless communications experience

  • Solid computer skills including spreadsheets, and scheduling programs

  • Municipal water/ wastewater experience, desired

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:

  • Current P.E. license in Washington or Oregon required

Compensation & Benefits at CSNW

Individual compensation will vary within a range based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position. CSNW values our employees' work/life balance and compensates overtime for hours exceeding 40 regular hours in a work week. This position is also eligible for a discretionary performance bonus paid twice a year, dependent upon company and individual performance.
