Boston Public Schools Stipend Opportunity: Summer PSYCHOLOGICAL Assessor in Boston, Massachusetts
REPORTS TO: Behavioral Health Services (BHS), Andria Amador, Senior Director or her designee STIPEND POSITION OVERVIEW: The Office of Specialized Services, Behavioral Health Services Department seeks Psychological Assessors to work during the summer. The assessors must be familiar with administering, scoring, and interpreting cognitive assessments (WISC-V, RIAS-2, Stanford-Binet), psychological assessments (behavioral checklists: BASC, Conners, Brief, Etc.), and other tools, as needed. This in-person opportunity will start on June 24, 2024, and end on August 2, 2024. Assessments will be conducted at designated testing centers city-wide, and cases will be assigned. RESPONSIBILITIES: As part of the stipend opportunity, Assessors will be required to: Administer the assessment in person and complete the evaluation reporting components. The evaluation report will be an original document written by the assessor and will contain testing results, a description of subtests administered, an interpretation of the results, and recommendations. *A generated test summary from testing platforms will not be an acceptable form of an evaluation report. Testing can occur at the ESY sites, BLA assessment centers, or the student’s home. A process will assign you a case. The testing location/availability is subject to change based on the level of need. Upload the assessment results and reports into EdPlan as soon as the testing is completed, but no later than a week after. Attend Team meetings during the summer months only for Early Childhood cases. Contact the TEAM member presenting their report to discuss findings at the TEAM meeting. TERMS: The expected dates of service for this stipend opportunity are 6/24/24 to 8/2/24. Stipends will be paid on a per-student basis once a case is completed and approved by the BHS Senior Director or her designee. Stipends are set at $400 per completed case. IEP meeting attendance will be reimbursed per the BTU stipend hourly rate of $56.81. If the meeting is not held for any reason (e.g., it was not scheduled or conducted as anticipated due to a lack of caregiver attendance), no compensation will be provided. Zoom timestamps must be submitted as proof that the meeting occurred.
