Description

I have partnered with a technology / hardware group that is seeking at Sr. Tax Accountant. This group is rapidly growing, and the tax work is complex and interesting. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with external consulting firms to gather information for the preparation of federal, state, and foreign income tax returns

• Prepare indirect tax returns, including franchise, business, property, and other non-income-based tax filings

• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and pinpoint potential areas of risk

• Assist with state tax examinations and respond to notices received from tax authorities

• Prepare and process tax payments in coordination with Accounting teams

• Contribute to tax planning and forecasting efforts

• Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provision in line with ASC 740

• Ensure the timely filing of sales and use tax returns

• Assist with month-end close tax, including reconciliations of taxes payable and sales tax reconciliation, as well as fluctuation analyses

• Assist with ad hoc and special tax projects

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Previous public accounting experience

• Expertise in Corporate Income Tax and Corporate Tax Compliance

• Familiarity with ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes
