Description

We are offering a contract for a Sr. Accountant role onsite at a rapidly growing real estate firm in Boston, MA.

In this position, you will be involved in various accounting activities such as project accounting, budgeting, job costing, and the preparation of financial statements. Additionally, you will be tasked with complex reconciliations, coordinating month and year-end close activities, cash flow projections, and property tax analysis.

To apply for this role you must have real estate accounting experience. If you are knowledgeable in Sage this is a huge preference. This position can start as soon as next week!

Responsibilities

• Conducting complex reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial data

• Coordinating activities for month and year-end close

• Engaging in project accounting tasks to track and analyze project costs

• Preparing comprehensive financial statements

• Carrying out job costing to determine the cost of each job undertaken

• Creating and managing budgets to ensure financial efficiency

• Conducting property tax analysis to determine tax obligations

• Preparing cash flow projections to forecast future financial status

• Abstracting leases to extract and analyze key information

• Conducting ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

Requirements • Proficient in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Comprehensive understanding of General Ledger management

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Familiar with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using SAP accounting software
