Job Summary

The Senior Research Assistant will work with the Division of Health Policy and Insurance Research (HPI) within the Department of Population Medicine. HPI works to produce rigorous evidence and build research capacity to inform the development of health policies and health system innovations that improve access to care and health outcomes. The Senior Research Assistant will perform a variety of activities to support the project team, including completing literature searches, administrative applications and data coordination activities. The Senior Research Assistant reports to the Project Manager and will interact with HPHCI project staff and staff from collaborating institutions. This position requires excellent communication skills for close collaboration with investigators and project managers.

Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing

  1. Supports coordination of project timelines and task lists.

  2. Provides support to internal and external collaborators.

  3. Assists with deliverable preparation.

  4. Coordinates data collection for research studies, including creating and maintaining project databases (Access, Microsoft Project or similar).

  5. Organizes teleconferences, webinars, and in-person meetings, including sending invitations, tracking responses, soliciting and distributing agenda items, and following up on action items.

  6. Conduct literature searches and reviews.

  7. Participates in project meeting preparation and implementation, including creating slide decks, providing technical support, and preparing meeting minutes.

  8. Performs day-to-day general tasks in support of research studies.

  9. Works on special projects, as needed.

Qualifications – what you need to perform the job

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; 1 year with related experience.

• Capable of completing very detail-oriented tasks

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience with Microsoft Office; Word and Excel required.
