Our East Geography is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team in our Boston office. We use the latest design technologies and analytic methods to deliver projects. Sustainability, carbon reduction, and resilience are key features of our projects. We are looking for a Senior Engineer who will take the lead in design and construction for a wide range of projects including healthcare, laboratories, commercial, higher education, aviation and rail.

The opportunity

  • Lead the design of electrical systems on medium to large-scale complex projects (healthcare, laboratories, commercial, higher education, aviation and rail)

  • Mentor and supervise junior staff and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams maximizing your experience at the local, regional, and global levels.

  • Prepare and review construction documents, drawings and specifications.

  • Present technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Lead projects and work closely with project managers to deliver quality work

  • Connect solutions/ideas to bigger picture project goals.

  • Client facing with Owner, Architect and Contractor.

  • Take part in Business Development and respond to project opportunities.

Is this role right for you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or architectural engineering

  • Minimum 6 years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings or infrastructure projects.

  • Ability to lead the electrical discipline as lead electrical designer for projects with good organization skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working.

  • Ability to present technical material for review by technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience with 3D BIM software – preferably Revit MEP

Preferred Skills

  • Professional Engineering License in US

  • Experience with power system modeling using SKM or similar software.

  • Ability to lead projects of varied scales.

Boston Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Boston is $120,000 to $165,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Boston will differ.
