Job Title: Project Scheduler

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Microsoft Project. The role involves coordinating monthly progress with project teams, identifying and addressing potential delays using Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling, and creating and reviewing CPM schedules for pre-bid and post-award phases to meet owner requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with external Project Schedule Consultants to manage deadlines and updates, write project narratives based on input from managers, superintendents, and estimating teams, attend schedule review meetings, assist in developing RFP and proposal schedules for preconstruction and bidding, and travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Microsoft Project.

  • Coordinate monthly progress with project teams.

  • Identify and address potential delays using Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling.

  • Create and review CPM schedules for pre-bid and post-award phases to meet owner requirements.

  • Collaborate with external Project Schedule Consultants to manage deadlines and updates.

  • Write project narratives based on input from managers, superintendents, and estimating teams, focusing on production and budget.

  • Attend schedule review meetings with project teams, estimating staff, and clients, and record detailed minutes.

  • Assist in developing RFP and proposal schedules for preconstruction and bidding.

  • Travel to project sites as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with project coordination and scheduling in the construction industry.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project.

  • In-depth knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Project management skills.

  • Ability to schedule appointments and manage construction schedules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Project Scheduler in Construction Management.
