About the Role
position
This role exists in the Enterprise Sourcing team within Finance & Administration. This individual is responsible for managing all aspects of the firm’s global travel program, which includes the strategic development and day-to-day management of the managed travel program with a focus on programs to control and reduce the firm’s annual travel expenditure while maintaining a high level of customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Sourcing and Contract Management and Negotiation
In partnership with Procurement, assist and/or lead the contract and pricing negotiations with suppliers on global scale, provide ongoing oversight of contract performance
Develop and manage sourcing strategies for the global travel program including serving as the subject matter expert in RFPs/proposal evaluations
Vendor Oversight and Relationship Management
Oversee the travel management company, ensuring adherence to SLAs and compliance to Wellington’s procedures and policies
Build and cultivate relationships with global travel vendors such as airlines, hotels and related travel services to ensure best in class service and competitive pricing
Serve as escalation point and lead resolution of vendor related issues, as necessary
Additional
Direct, manage and oversee communication to key stakeholders, travelers, travel arrangers and global office management
Maintain travel policy component of the T & E Policy; to include assessment and analysis of modifications based on industry changes and comparative peer benchmarking
Act as advisor for Travel Policy, related questions, and direct oversight of all travel exceptions
Support the duty of care of employees traveling including providing support in emergency situations, often working collaboratively with Global Security
Perform data analysis to drive strategic discussions/outcomes, be familiar with industry trends and best practices, changes in regulations or requirements related to travel
Ability to challenge existing processes through change management or technology solutions
Provide reporting as required by various teams globally
Act as an advisor for meetings and events and management of hotel block space, if required
Participate in and/or manage ad-hoc projects and perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
10+ years professional experience with major airline, corporate travel management or hospitality industry
Demonstrated knowledge of travel industry best practices and experience managing a global travel program in a high touch environment
Strong leadership skills- proven ability to lead teams and projects
Proven ability to negotiate, implement and manage vendor contracts is a plus
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)– must be outgoing and assertive and possess the ability to influence
Strong attention to detail and well organized, ability to prioritize, multi-task and work well under pressure while delivering superior customer service
Ability to think strategically while also focusing on the details
Self-motivated and works well independently; capable of taking initiative without prompting
Strong problem solving techniques, including the ability to identify, research and resolve unfamiliar issues and ability to clearly communicate issues to key stakeholders
Ability to collaborate with a professional presence and display sound business judgement; proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong business relationships at all levels within the organization both internally and externally
Excellent interpersonal skills required and the ability to use tact & diplomacy in difficult situations

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:
USD 80,000 - 180,000
This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
