Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Facilities Technician is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs to a school in Boston. This includes but is not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and all other building systems.

Hard Skills

  • Preventative maintenance

  • Repair and troubleshooting on mechanical systems equipment

  • Inspection of buildings, equipment, and grounds

  • Operations & Maintenance (O&M) on a broad range of equipment

  • Installation and modification of building equipment systems

  • Light electrical

  • Light plumbing

  • Light carpentry

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Boston, Massachusetts. Parking is limited; will reimburse MBTA cards 50%.

Work Setting

Private school with one building that has five connected editions, totaling 300,000 SQ FT. The building features both new construction and old architecture. The facility team consists of 8 people plus the Facility Manager.
