Job Title: GSE Mechanic

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a GSE Mechanic where you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance repairs on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) including baggage carts, deicing equipment, etc. Your key responsibilities will include performing light & heavy repairs on GSE equipment, diagnosing engine mechanical issues and repairing Diesel, gas, and LP. You will also be expected to troubleshoot A/C and D/C electrical systems, read electrical and hydraulic flow schematics, use computer software to diagnose Powertrain Management Systems, repair 80 & 48 volt DC systems, troubleshoot and repair Airstart systems, and accurately complete vehicle repair orders in a timely manner. In addition to these, you will continue to receive ongoing training to gain knowledge of the equipment and maintain the required level of productivity.

Hard Skills

  • mechanical testing and troubleshooting

  • ability to read schematics

  • electrical testing and troubleshooting

  • knowledge of Generators 400 hz as well as 28 volt

  • troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems

  • ability to read a Hydraulic flow schematic

  • utilize computer software to diagnose Powertrain Management Systems

  • ability to repair 80 & 48 volt DC systems

  • troubleshoot and repair Airstart systems

Soft Skills

  • ability to maintain required level of productivity

  • ability to accurately complete vehicle repair orders timely
