What will you do?

  • Supervise kitchen team members to ensure adherence to portion sizes, recipes, quality standards, and department policies while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of stations, walk-ins, and freezers

  • Maintain and operate kitchen equipment, ensuring all items are in full working order and food is prepared, stored, and labeled according to health and safety regulations

  • Monitor and manage food cost within established parameters, overseeing proper breakdown, rotation, and storage of food to maintain freshness and quality

  • Prepare food to specifications, utilizing kitchen equipment effectively, and perform opening, closing, and side work duties as per guidelines

  • Attend kitchen meetings and training sessions, and rotate to other areas as needed while reporting punctually to scheduled events

More about you

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a linecookwith previoussupervisory or lead line cook experiencerequired

  • Ability to read and understand recipes and food abbreviations

  • Basic math skills with the ability to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions

  • Knowledge of basic culinary fundamentals of hot and cold foods

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry large pans from ovens or freezers weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Standing and walking for entire length of shift
