Consulting Member of Technical Staff – Fintech Data Platform Product Development
What We Do
Are you passionate about the blockchain technology and its potential to change the financial services landscape? Fintech Data Platform is aiming to lead the industry as infrastructure and solution building blocks for digital assets application development and deployment in Oracle Cloud and Multicloud infrastructures. It’s capabilities span from the underlying ledger and tokenization support to cross-ledger interoperability, regulatory compliance, and financial services solutions for payments, trade finance, and capital markets. As Consulting Member of Technical Staff in the Oracle Mission-Critical Database Technologies development organization, you will own multiple components of the Fintech Data Platform built around Oracle Blockchain Platform (DLT), Database Blockchain Tables, and Transaction Management technologies. You will be joining at an early stage of a new product development initiative and have continuous opportunities to lead and be a catalyst for technical innovation.
Responsibilities
As a hands-on software engineer and engineering leader, you will work with senior management, product managers and architects to create functional specs/design documents for new requirements, lead the development of new features and integration of related technologies, and ensure customer success with releases already in production. You will be expected to deliver design documents and code as well as interact with various cross-functional teams, such as quality assurance, cloud operations, release management, customer support and other teams in order to perform your day-to-day activities. You will be expected to work with multiple programming languages, ledger technologies, wallets and tokenization solutions, use open-source solutions and Oracle technologies in an agile and collaborative environment and guide more junior team members. You will conduct code and design reviews of the products and services and contribute to architecture standards and community practices. You must be experienced in various architecture patterns, be able to communicate requirements, solution, and architecture with technical and non-technical stakeholder. Evolved soft skills and excellent communication and the ability to collaborate with others is a key success factor. You will mentor other engineers and must be capable of driving technical tasks independently and with confidence.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of software design and development experience, out of which at least 3 years in fintech/digital assets domain
Proven track record of on-time and high-quality deliverables
Experience working with large enterprise customers
Experience in developing highly complex, distributed transaction processing systems in financial services/fintech space
Experience with relational databases and distributed persistence technologies
Deep knowledge of REST and modern paradigm for inter process communication
Deep knowledge of asynchronous messaging-based systems with high scale
Deep hands-on experience in Java and at least one of the Go or node.JS, and with scripting languages, such as Python, Perl, shell, etc.
Strong understanding of server virtualization technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, etc. and public cloud infrastructures, especially as it relates to networking and security
Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes in a cloud environment (e.g., Jenkins, Teamcity, etc.)
Strong verbal/written communications, organizational and time management skills
Sense of ownership, passion to build, support and maintain quality products for massive scale in collaborative, agile environment and excitement to learn
BS or MS in Computer Science
Thorough understanding of the enterprise software development lifecycle
Experience working in highly distributed teams located across continents
Demonstrated experience in cross-organizational collaboration
Strong critical thinking and analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of blockchain technology and its applications in digital assets and regulated financial services
Experience developing blockchain solutions in open source setting or commercially in fintech space using multiple DLTs
Experience developing highly scalable OLTP applications with Oracle Database
Experience developing payments and settlement systems in banks, cap markets, etc.
Familiarity with RegTech and SupTech in financial services
Strong troubleshooting and performance benchmarking/tuning skills.
Strong Understanding of security technologies: PKI, Cryptography, Identity Management, Confidential Payments, ZK Proofs and-rollups
Strong project management skills and the ability to effectively manage project timelines and dependencies.

Responsibilities
As a senior member of the software engineering group, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of new and existing products. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software and cloud services according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications and cloud services.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
