Description

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our client's team in Bossier City, Louisiana. The role is central to our operations, with a focus on general accounting duties. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with various responsibilities such as reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and supporting the periodic close processes.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances

• Prepare and present financial statements

• Support both month-end and year-end close processes

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations

• Assess internal controls, conduct risk assessments, and review risk areas

• Assist with the preparation of the company budget and prepare monthly budget variance analyses

• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules

• Assist with initial internal control evaluations

• Leverage skills in Full Cycle Accounting and Public Accounting to effectively perform duties.

Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Must have at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience

• Experience with full cycle accounting is required

• Public accounting experience is ideal

• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to direct and supervise

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and accounting software

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• A professional certification like CPA will be considered a plus.
