This posting is for a part-time, temporary, position.
Salary - $50.00 per hour
Days/Times: Hours vary; day and/or night; as needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications
A relevant Associate’s Degree and four (4) years of professional experience and skill related to Industrial Maintenance operationOR arelevant Certificate and five (5) years of occupational experience and skill related to Industrial Maintenance operations.
Prior experience in training or teaching is highly desirable.
OSHA Industrial Maintenance Trainer Certification required or must be willing to obtain certification within the first four (4) weeks of employment.
First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and Industrial Maintenance safety standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop engaging training materials and presentations.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in using basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Management System, web browsers, and online Industrial Maintenance training platforms).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to travel to various locations within Northwest Louisiana.
Flexible schedule to accommodate training sessions at different times and locations.
Ability to pass a background check as required by Bossier Parish Community College.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, and handle or feel objects and controls.
Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
Capable of lifting and carrying equipment and materials up to 70 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on demonstrations.

Job Concepts
Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Industrial Maintenance Training Instructor to join our team. The instructor will be responsible for delivering comprehensive Industrial Maintenance training to individuals on BPCC campuses and at various correctional facilities throughout Northwest Louisiana. The ideal candidate will emphasize safety and proper equipment handling in all lessons, ensuring students acquire the necessary skills to operate Industrial Maintenances proficiently and safely in various industrial and commercial environments. This role requires a high degree of flexibility in scheduling and a willingness to travel to various training locations.
Examples of Work
Develop and deliver high-quality Industrial Maintenance training programs in compliance with OSHA standards and BPCC guidelines.
Conduct training sessions at BPCC campuses and correctional facilities across Northwest Louisiana.
Must be at ease working in a correctional setting with inmates. Candidate must be flexible, organized with a strong attention to detail, assertive, and possess excellent communication skills.
Emphasize the importance of safety and security in all aspects of Industrial Maintenance operations.
Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and certification.
Ensure all training equipment is in safe working condition and report any issues promptly.
Collaborate with BPCC staff and correctional facility administrators to coordinate training schedules.
Stay updated on industry best practices, safety regulations, and new technologies related to Industrial Maintenance operations.
Provide mentorship and support to students, fostering a positive learning environment.
Compile reports on the program's progress.
Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses, industry partners, and community organizations.
Other duties as assigned.
