This position is for a full-time, 12-month, unclassified, staff position.

Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, human resources or related.

  • Four (4) years of work experience in business office environment; human resources related experience preferred.

  • Two (2) years of customer service working with public.

  • Knowledge of Banner preferred.

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls.

  • Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.

  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 10 pounds.

  • Must be capable of sitting in stationary position for 50% or more of time.

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Job Concepts

This position is responsible for daily HR functions to include, but not limited to, coordinating aspects of recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, provide verification, manage HR training and reporting, manage I-9 forms and compliance, and maintenance of the onboarding platform

Examples of Work

  • Prepare all position postings for vacant position as directed by Notice of Vacancy form and post on recruiting platform.

  • Monitor and manage positions posting on the recruiting platform by forwarding applications, updating position status and notifying hiring supervisors of status.

  • Participate in new employee orientation by explaining tax forms and other necessary paperwork to new full-time employees in conjunction with HR staff.

  • Prepare PAF paperwork for personnel actions related to new hire, termination, promotion, merits, and any other related personnel actions for employees as needed.

  • Verify information into HRS (BANNER) system, appropriate retirement systems and appropriate health system for all personnel items related to employees.

  • Coordinate all hiring documents needed to hire part-time temporary staff, volunteer staff and adjunct staff

  • Manage background check process, reconcile monthly invoice and prepare check request as directed.

  • Responsible for all unclassified position posting on campus and through internet sources/channels.

  • Maintenance of open and closed unclassified position files and contents therein.

  • Act as liaison for updates to College website for staff and faculty listings and for the Human Resources website.

  • Coordinate the hiring process for student workers.

  • Schedule and present HR training events for employees.

  • Manage employee annual training and annual disclosure forms for employees to include notification, tracking and reporting.

  • Manage the I-9 records and ensure compliance with federal laws.

  • Coordinate WeStaff Temporary Staffing time sheets and invoices

  • Serve on college faculty/staff committees.
