Your responsibilities Job Summary Provide a conduit between sales personnel and warehouse supervision. Assist customers, both internal and external, with various concerns. Provide administrative support to warehouse production and distribution functions. Maintain hard copy and electronic files regarding production, shipping and material certifications. Job Description Key Accountabilities: Act as liaison between Sales, Purchasing and Warehouse personnel to resolve issues and problems Schedules basic transportation needs and communicates with truck drivers for standard shipping Limited knowledge of customer specific transportation requirements, SFC/P-copy process Edit all truck loads in system for accuracy and delivered in a timely manner for specific processes or commodities Deliver work orders to appropriate personnel Draft necessary job related correspondence, memorandums and emails Create ad hoc reports when needed Respond to a high daily volume of communication Has a thorough understanding of the work order process Participate, support, and comply with all Health, Safety, Quality and lean initiatives and requirements Complete all job duties in a manner that does not put him/herself or other individuals in an unsafe situation and wear all PPE (personal protective equipment) when required Assist in any other duties to support the operations, as requested by supervisor or manager This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
