The Nurture Nest Child Care Center Director in Bonneau, South Carolina

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Daycare Director to oversee the daily operations of our daycare center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The Daycare Director will be responsible for managing staff, developing curriculum, maintaining compliance with state regulations, and fostering positive relationships with parents and the community.

Responsibilities - Develop and implement educational programs that align with state regulations and promote the intellectual, social, and emotional development of children. - Manage day-to-day operations of the childcare center, including staff supervision, budget management, and facility maintenance. - Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure high-quality care and education for all children. - Establish positive relationships with parents, addressing their concerns and providing regular updates on their child's progress. - Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements and safety regulations.

Skills - Strong background in education administration, preferably in a childcare setting. - Ability to educate and engage children of varying ages effectively. - Experience working with students or in a university environment is a plus. - Knowledge of higher education teaching methodologies is beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and educational environment.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
