Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Wednesday, 5:45AM – 6:00PM

Pay rate: $25/hr.

Location: Boise, Idaho

The principal duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Working in a team environment involving the acquisition, distribution, collection, treatment, and quality control of UPW Water systems for the site

  • Ensure a continuous supply of high-quality water for the various areas and in the event of a system failure, must be competent to restore the water service as soon as possible

  • Safety & Quality: including completing all required safety training and conduct all work in accordance with safety policies, follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with regulations including PPE, CoHE (lockout/tagout), and chemical safety

  • Perform and facilitate audits and submits good catches, actively participates in the EHS program by reporting all EHS-related concerns or problems immediately

  • Communication & Collaboration: Make recommendations related to preventative maintenance and other non-routine issues. Collaborate with area leaders and partner with key stakeholders to monitor data to continuously improve critical metrics, resolve equipment and process issues and maximize system stability

  • Project Management/Planning: Support or manage area projects to ensure deliverables are completed within the required scope and schedule

  • Technical/Data Analysis: Identifies and reduces equipment defects to improve quality

  • Assists with installation, modification, and removal of facilities equipment 

Requirements:

  • Water Treatment or Distribution certification and two years of related work experience

  • Intermediate PC skills including a familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Proven ability to follow procedures and work with minimal supervision, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and work collaboratively and have strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to be respiratory certified

Preferred:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree with one year of water or wastewater experience.

Physical Effort/Activities:

May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hours at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
