As a Fab Construction Supply Chain Engineer at Micron Technology Inc., you will be responsible for orchestrating and optimizing the construction supply chain to meet the common objectives of Micron’s Fab Construction projects. Much of your time will be spent proactively managing the capacity and supply of construction materials to align with overall project timelines. This role involves analyzing supply chain data, developing strategies to enhance efficiency, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and products.

The ideal candidate will have a robust background in supply chain management, engineering, and project management. Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to draw conclusions from complex problems are essential for successful planning. Strong communication skills and leadership abilities are also crucial for resolving issues and meeting defined objectives.

This position is based out of our Boise, ID office.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Collect and analyze supply chain data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Enhance efficiency and reduce costs by refining supply chain processes.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to maintain optimal stock and minimize excess.

  • Manage scheduling and sequencing for both onsite and offsite construction elements.

  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the construction plan.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, EPC constructors, and consultants.

  • Align capacity and material plans with construction timelines.

  • Manage risks associated with supply chain activities.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all supply chain operations.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance to senior management.

  • Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics departments to ensure seamless operations.

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient with data and analytics

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in project management

  • Proficiency in supply chain management

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Proven leadership abilities
