Job Title: Sandblasting Operator
Job Description
We are looking to hire a dedicated Sandblasting Operator with the ability to also perform painting tasks. The ideal candidate will work in a shop setting, preparing products by sandblasting or shot blasting to remove abrasive material like paint or rust from metal surfaces. Experience with powder coating is preferred, as you will also support that department.
Responsibilities
Prepare products for painting by sandblasting or shot blasting to remove paint or rust from metal surfaces.
Perform painting tasks as required.
Assist with powder coating tasks.
Assemble custom-made drawers and accessories for police and fire vehicles.
Install decks, drawers, slides, and other accessories into the final product.
Use a variety of hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, staple guns, and more.
Conduct light metal fabrication.
Measure and cut materials accurately using tape measures and other tools.
Lift up to 75 pounds as needed.
Essential Skills
Experience with sandblasting and shot blasting.
Experience with painting and powder coating.
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
Ability to use tape measures and perform accurate measurements.
Background in mechanical assembly.
Strong math skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with general labor tasks.
Experience in a welding or fabrication shop.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work well with your hands and complete projects using power tools.

Work Environment
You will be working in a welding and fabrication shop. The role requires wearing composite-toed shoes and safety glasses for protection. This is a first shift position, Monday to Friday, from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm with some overtime. Typically, you will work 45-50 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, Idaho.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
