SCRAM Systems Regulatory Specialist in Boise, Idaho

Job Summary:

The Regulatory Specialist positions consist of two specialists, with defined territories of support for our ignition interlock and portable alcohol monitoring businesses. They are responsible for day-to-day tracking and timely submission of documents to the jurisdictions within their region. Additionally, they will be required to attend jurisdictional meetings when requested to ensure proper communication with regulators on upcoming law or rule changes that will affect company programs.

The position serves as the immediate contact point for state regulators within the assigned area.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage technician and service center certifications in jurisdictions where those are required.

  • Track, order and submit criminal history reports for technicians where regular submission is required.

  • Create standardized (by state or jurisdiction) SOP for tracking of all required documentation.

  • Works closely with Service Center Support to track training dates where needed.

  • Submission of updated bonds and updated insurance coverage to jurisdictions where required.

  • Ensuring posted fee schedules are up to date where required for display at service centers.

  • Review, summarization, and communication of regulatory and contractual requirements to internal stakeholders.

  • Operate as the central point of contract for problems raised by the state administrators. Identity path of resolution through the appropriate department and respond to state with satisfactory completion to close the issue.

  • Travel to and attend jurisdictional meetings when needed for documenting proposed changes and reporting those back to Regulatory Compliance team.

  • Must understand each jurisdiction timing requirements and create tracking system to monitor all submission deadlines.

  • Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or equivalent experience with demonstrated relevant skills

  • Four years of experience in government oversight related field or relevant experience

Physical Requirements (With or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Fine Motor Movements: 41-70 %
