Quality Program Manager (QPM) Opportunity

The Lifetime Quality team has an opening for a QPM. The QPMs are responsible for identification and resolution of quality and customer experience issues through comprehensive data analysis and leadership of cross functional teams to implement solutions. QPMs also drive quality focused feedback to R&D. This position is an M28 Expert position and will be based out of Boise. I have attached the job description below. Quality Program Manager

Primary Functions:

  • Provide Quality leadership, guidance, direction and focus to cross-functional Current LaserJet Product teams to:

  • Identify quality related issues from the beginning of shipments to the end of life,

  • Resolve top quality and on-going product support issues in an expedited manner,

  • Actively manage quality issues to minimize warranty and post warranty costs.

  • Champion top quality issues within LJ Product Generation, Customer Assurance, HP Services and other involved organizations as required to ensure quick and efficient resolution of quality issues

  • Develop, document, and share best practices/processes to facilitate improvements in existing infrastructure and job requirements.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional team to identify and characterize LaserJet quality issues. Lead, document, and track status of top quality issue resolution.

  • Review all sources of product quality data to identify top issues related to Customer Experience and identify missing data sources or data quality issues.

  • Lead and coordinate Issues Teams responsible for delivering solutions to quality issues throughout the supply chain.

  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching to help team understand the total program perspective. Set priorities and help make appropriate business trade-offs. Identify owners and resolution timeframe for all deliverables.

  • Ensure broad program level, product, and issue specific communication to both team members and other interested parties including functional management.

  • Proactively identify risks and potential problems. Ensure contingency plans are created, recommending alternatives and trade-offs.

  • Ensure quick and efficient resolution of unresolved/unstaffed issues through the timely escalation of problems to higher management. Provide Management with sufficient program information as necessary to make good business decisions concerning escalated quality issues.

  • Assess program/issue resolution, team performance and progress, and provide timely status communications to management. Prepare and communicate status information as necessary for management review.

  • Influence LaserJet Product Generation, MPM, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience teams to ensure that future programs benefit from current product learning.

  • Manage Production Ship/Holds that may arise from identified quality or customer experience issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 plus years of experience in program management

  • Ability to analyze quality data, looking for potential issues and/or trends. Black Belt training preferred.

  • Ability to lead cross-organizational/cross-functional teams to successful resolution of quality and/or customer experience issues.

  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.

  • Previous printer experience preferred

  • Previous experience in the area of quality issue resolution and/or customer support.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability among peers

  • Ability to communicate/champion issues to upper management.

The base pay range for this role is $118,050 to $224,300 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
