St. Luke's Health System Pharmacy Technician - Medication Authorization Specialist in Boise, Idaho

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Medication Authorization Specialist to join our Medication Access team.

What You Can Expect

  • Utilize your advanced medication knowledge to maximize revenue capture for high-cost medications in this critical,complex field

  • Work autonomously and proficiently to guide the provider, patient, and insurance company

  • Collaborate with a crossfunctional team of pharmacists, medical/clinical staff, revenue cycle specialists, and patient access services staff including financial advocates and coding staff

  • Engage with third party payers, prescription benefit management companies, governmental peer review organizations, and referring physicians

  • Manage referrals related to prescription medications for various disease states, obtaining prior authorization from intermediaries and payers including managed care companies, insurance companies, and review organizations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid Idaho Pharmacy Technician Registration

  • Upon hire, once CPhT certification has been obtained, must maintain renewal of national CPhT certification and report to State Board of Pharmacy as required by PTCB and/or NHA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) + years' experience

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
