Boise State University\'s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is actively seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join us as a tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or full Professor. Through the newly established Institute for Microelectronics Education and Research, faculty will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders across all areas of microelectronics. Our strong partnership with Micron Technology\'s R&D facilities in Boise, Idaho, and a future \$15B manufacturing facility will open doors to unparalleled research and manufacturing engagement.

The ideal candidate will specialize in integrated circuit design, supporting the development of an IC design center for research and education. Experience with chip design, validation, and tapeout using foundry nodes is crucial, and familiarity with design automation is a plus. Applications for these circuits could span many areas, including advanced memory, cybersecurity, novel computing architectures, image sensors, RFIC, biomedical engineering, and beyond.

Minimum Requirements: PhD in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, by the time of appointment.

Salary and Benefits: The annual salary for this open-rank position starts at \$110K for a 9-month assistant professor.

Our standard faculty contract is a 9-month contract (unless otherwise noted) with pay and benefits spread over 12 months. This is a yearly, renewable contract, unless noted that the position is temporary. More information about faculty contract and work days is available here.

Startup packages are commensurate with experience and expected research needs. Reduced course loads are offered based on scholarly activity.
