We are looking for a motivated and skilled Strategic Category Analyst Intern in Boise, ID. In this role, you will be instrumental in achieving our strategic objectives by using analytics. Working collaboratively with team members across Micron’s global sites, you will contribute to our profitability goals and future cost reduction aspirations. You will also assist cross-functional initiatives across category teams, developing and implementing actionable insights that empower the category team to meet business objectives. This position offers an exciting chance to support significant impact on our global operations and strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the formulation of cost savings, spend analytics, and overall category scorecards to leaders.

  • Assist the Strategic Cost Management team to provide oversight to team members to ensure data integrity and accessibility and partner with IT, BI, Fin, Eng, Mfg.

  • Apply external market intelligence analysis, problem-solving, benchmarking, and solution development.

  • Evaluate data and information to find opportunities and cost savings, and provide recommendations to support the strategic direction.

  • Foster positive relationships and communicate effectively with collaborators to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with various parties involved.

  • Highly skilled in analytical thinking and problem-solving, attention to detail, and high comfort in working with numbers.

  • Proven skill in effectively communicating with collaborators and senior leaders in a clear and influential manner.

  • Interest in having a discernment for business and proficiency in data analysis, using insights to make informed decisions.

Education and Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science, with equivalent experience also being considered. Graduating after September 2025.
