Micron Technology, Inc. Intern - Probe Process Engineer in Boise, Idaho

As an Intern Engineer with the Test Solutions Engineering Key Equipment Group at Micron Technology Inc., You will assist in developing, deploying, and supporting wafer Probe processes used in Micron’s global manufacturing locations. Through hands-on project work, you will gain experience and skill to prepare you for future roles in a professional, team-centric engineering environment. Your job duties will include but not limited to developing innovative solutions to address existing wafer probe process challenges, design and execution of characterization/validation experiments, and software design, analysis of performance data develop/code algorithms to use statistical data processing of Probe data, integration of DataScience/Machine Learning with production system and generating technical reports and presentations. This position is for a 3-month internship. We are looking for an Intern Engineer with interest in Process OR Process Data (Data Science)

Qualifications:

Process interest with focus in …

  • Continuous improvement of manufacturing process thru optimization of process steps

  • Collection and analysis of critical process data to detect abnormality and suggest improvements

  • Applying critical thinking in process related problems

  • Proficiency in statistics, data analysis, and design of experiments.

Process Data interest with focus in …

  • Strong skills in Linux/Unix, Perl, Python, C and or C++ Working knowledge of stat/report tools such as R, JMP and tableau.

  • Good understanding of DataScience, Machine Learning and inference concepts

  • Working knowledge of Docker, Container, AKS and cloud architecture.

  • Working knowledge of version control, code repository and managing systems such as GIT/Bit Bucket/JIRA

Process or Process Data require …

  • High degree of self-initiative with an ability to think independently.

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and see them to conclusion based on a given timeline.

  • Ability to work independently and well with others in cross functional initiatives and drive for results.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office products.

  • Strong critical thinking and logic/reasoning skills.

Required Education:

  • Pursuing Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical or Computer Science Engineering
