Summary:

As a Technician reporting through GEL (Global Engineering Lab) at Micron Technology Inc., you will be responsible for running and maintaining a Server Farm for data analysis collection. You will also be involved in assisting area personnel on performing and maintaining systems within a Validation lab environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Anywhere from 500-3000 individual servers are used to analyze module data and hardware functionality. This role will be all aspects of maintaining the farm.

  • Receiving product - split and amend attributes and bucket to the individual systems to run.

  • Handle the loading/unloading and updating of hardware, addressing and resolving any issues that may arise

  • Push out updates through a dedicated network.

  • Work with Engineering to detect module failures and remove/replace defect modules or components.

  • Solve issues with defective systems and conduct routine maintenance on lab equipment.

  • Bios/firmware updates as well as Windows and custom program updates for the tests within Validation.

  • Maintain systems and spares inventory.

Requirements:

  • Preferred Two-year industry related associate degree; working towards a STEM related degree; or equivalent military training and experience

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Active position requires extensive walking in labs/buildings

  • Able to follow procedures/SOPs

  • Ability to work independently

  • The ability to collaborate well with team members

  • Windows/Linux experience preferred

  • Hardware/Server/Computer networking experience preferred

  • Verbal/written communications skills to enable customer satisfaction

  • May require some limited travel in the future
