ManpowerGroup Electrical Engineer Lead - Facilities in Boise, Idaho
Our client, a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions space, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer Lead to support the advancement and continual development of the Boise site campus and for Fab tool designs.
The Electrical Engineer Lead will be providing technical review and direction on project electrical designs proposed by non-sustaining A&E firms during project concept and detailed design phases, work with site groups, other engineering teams, contractors, safety, and other project collaborators, for both tool install and site projects.
The Facilities Electrical Engineer Lead is responsible for working in a team environment with other engineering subject areas to provide engineering, design, and support for operations, and manufacturing.
The Electrical Engineer also provides troubleshooting for the following systems site wide: electrical, substation, primary power distribution, building power, lighting, UPS and generator.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform regular field inspections during construction and monitor projects to ensure consistency to client specifications and standards, agreed scope, schedule, and budget.
Evaluate existing electrical elements on campus for safety and integrity and provide recommendations and design for improvements.
Lead a sustaining electrical design team to produce electrical construction drawings that meet schedule and budget requirements.
Ensure constructability in relevant environments in or near operating buildings without interruptions.
Safety & Quality:
Completes all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with client and Technology Development (TD) safety policies
Uses and reviews job hazard analysis (JHA/JSA) for work being performed
Follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations including PPE, CoHe (lockout /tagout) and chemical safety
Actively participates in the EHS program by reporting all EHS-related concerns or problems immediately (maximum 24 hours)
Proactively sees opportunities to reduce potential hazards which may impact personnel health and/or the environment
Drives quality improvement initiatives in their area to reduce Fab impacts, improve efficiency and identify cost savings
Operates and maintains equipment and tools within manufacturer’s and company guidelines to ensure safety and quality expectations are met
Communication & Collaboration:
Ensures appropriate communication with facilities and manufacturing partners
Collaborates with areas leaders to create personal performance and development goals
Proactively communicates issues that could cause Fab impact, defects, tool restrictions, or lost moves
Coordinates with collaborators and leaders on issues and changes, and provides regular status updates
Listens to customer feedback, recognizes opportunities and provides feedback for technical innovation
Communicates highly sophisticated information to internal and external contacts
Communicates with Procurement and appropriate partners on new system purchases
Project Management/Planning:
Uses a systematic project management methodology to develop, prioritize and lead projects
Participates in mid to long-term infrastructure planning for facilities in support of the overall company plan
Tracks actions and provides critical issue path or resources to ensure actions will be completed on time
Prepares project scope and ensures necessary input for projects that are electrical in subject area
Coordinates and leads meetings and initiates follow-up actions with projects that are primarily electrical
Helps to shape strategic decisions and provides technical support
Technical/Data Analysis:
Analyzes systems data to make critical decisions, improve performance, gain efficiency, and drive cost savings
Provides effective and timely mentorship to resolve issues and is highly engaged in key problem resolution
Provides consultation and technical support to Operations, Maintenance, Manufacturing and other department/sites
Provides engineering support to ensure facility compliance with federal, state, and local laws
Identifies and develops a strategy for equipment/processes that streamlines PM frequencies and effectiveness
Partners with key customers to identify gaps and opportunities for equipment/process efficiencies
Applies administrative and engineering databases in support of job tracking, engineering data, capital equipment facilitation, and critical system loads and capacities
Performs research and development on emerging facilities technologies to support innovative semiconductor processes
Incorporates safety controls in every aspect of the design, enhancement, and modification process
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of data extraction, data analysis and reporting methodologies
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical theory
Basic knowledge of utility systems
Ability to use schematic diagrams to troubleshoot systems to components level
Demonstrates AutoCAD skills
Understanding and navigation in SKM
Education and Experience:
Required: Minimum – Relevant degree or appropriate certification/licensing; Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Eight or more years of experience in industrial electrical engineered systems
