Job Description Summary:

As an Electrical Competitor Analysis member in the DEG Technology Node Development group, you will be part of a forward-thinking team of engineers that solves complex problems to develop industry leading DRAM. The role is responsible for electrical characterization of competitor solutions compared to ours with a mind towards SWOT analysis (strengths, weakness, opportunity, threats)! Electrical characterization will require innovation and great technical “bench” skills to enable methods of comparing DRAM array performance or high-speed periphery logic of competitors DRAM die to our DRAM die. The information learned will contribute to Micron’s DRAM scaling solutions. This role will collaborate multi-functionally within our DEG Technology team and with partner groups; Physical Competitor Analysis, Design, Test, Technology Development, and Quality Assurance departments.

Responsibilities Include:

  • A broad approach to DRAM Electrical Competitor Analysis from micro probing signals on die, to DRAM array bench testing, to high speed DRAM test platforms.

  • Develop competitor analysis DRAM characterization methods and techniques that enable side by side comparison to our groundbreaking DRAM products.

  • Collaborate with internal engineering groups; Design, Technology Development, Design for Test, and Quality teams to understand internal yield issues and technology challenges compared to what we learn from competition DRAM. Will use this information guide the electrical analysis required.

  • Summarize and present electrical data with key observations and recommendations to executives and cross functional forums such as DRAM Scaling Forum or DRAM Strategy Forums.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent

  • Proven industry DRAM Experience

  • Familiarity with DRAM architecture, operation, testing, design, and process

  • Familiarity with CMOS performance and reliability mechanisms

  • Effective written and spoken communication skills

  • Good organizational skills

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
