Responsible for leading and executing continuous improvement and innovation projects in the assigned area. Analyzing area and workstation key performance indicators (KPI’s) to identify, implement and monitor manufacturing efficiency improvements. Perform specialized report creation, systems automation and efficiency improvement, and project management to benefit manufacturing operations. Communicate effectively conveying project scope, escalation of issues, and project summaries. Lead area continuous improvement and innovation projects, coordinating activities and communicating progress, using basic project management techniques. Manage the project scope, stakeholder meetings, milestones, resources, determines return on investment (ROI) including time savings, documentation practices, change management plans, user acceptance testing (UAT), stakeholder feedback and implementation strategies to ensure quality and that the stakeholders’ expectations are met. Perform risk analysis using Six Sigma methodologies for project implementation to ensure potential issues are identified and addressed effectively. Identify and implement areas of improvement through data collection, observation, process change, and automation. Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams on mutual projects and tasks to ensure scalability of solutions across areas/departments. Review and evaluate project outcomes, documents lessons learned, and implements best practices for future projects. Develop data visualization dashboards to monitor key performance indicators and highlight areas of focus for the manufacturing team. Make decisions by using data, established guidelines, procedures, and judgment and brings recommendation to leaders. Utilize project management techniques to organize and communicate status for assigned projects. Collaborate across multiple functional engineering teams to communicate and address manufacturing throughput concerns.
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.
Position requires:
Utilizing database and programming language, including Python to extract data for area performance analysis;
Utilizing data visualization programs, including Power BI to organize data, present data, and create performance metrics;
Performing time studies to analyze task or system related activities identifying opportunities to improve throughput;
Six Sigma methodologies, including root cause analysis or Statistical Process Control (SPC) to investigate performance concerns and propose solutions;
Utilizing project management knowledge to scope, organize, and coordinate continuous improvement projects;
Creating documentation, including user manuals or work instructions when implementing new systems to outline best practices and support training for end users;
Utilizing automated processes to reduce manual work;
Utilizing cycle time and lean manufacturing methodologies to plan and execute manufacturing projects;
Basic forecasting methods, inventory control, production planning, project management, JIT and flexible manufacturing systems (automation).
