St. Luke's Health System Auditor Senior in Boise, Idaho

This is a hybrid position, will be required onsite.

What You Can Expect:

Under limited supervision, the Senior Auditor is responsible for performing audit and consulting procedures in accordance with the annual audit plans.

  • Plans and executes assessments and audits of services and/or programs to determine the effectiveness of risk management practices and/or internal controls.

  • Recommends new or modified procedures that improve the effectiveness and/or efficiency of the organization's internal controls, including corrective action plans for key stakeholders.

  • Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.

  • Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to staff; with appropriate authorization, may act as lead. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements of new and existing legislation.

  • Evaluates the adequacy and timeliness of management's response and the corrective actions taken on significant audit recommendations.

  • Assists in the development of education and training to be used in orienting and educating the organization on regulatory requirements. Assists in developing policies and procedures for the organization.

  • Cooperates with independent auditors and provides data in support of external audits as needed. Interacts with organizational personnel in a professional, positive, and constructive manner to facilitate good working relationships.

  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable federal and state laws to ensure ongoing compliance by the organization.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of a degree

  • Experience: 5 years relevant experience

  • Licenses/Certifications: None except for certain roles in compliance with may require the following: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or similar certification.
