As AMHS Equipment Manager at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the existing AMHS system in the current Boise Fab (Fab 4) as well as installing and sustaining the new Manufacturing Fab that is being built in Boise (ID1). Since the factories are connected via AMHS, this role will be essential to ensure efficient operation for the legacy and new system that enhances the co-location between R&D and Manufacturing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • The AMHS Equipment Manager’s primary responsibility is to direct engineering work. This will include coordination of the team efforts to maintain safety, cycle time, equipment availability, quality, training, TPM, and moves performance and new tool installation and qualification.

  • Ensure the team completes all required safety training, and all work is conducted in accordance with safety policies.

  • Analyzes data to make critical decisions and drive cost reduction activities

  • Identify areas of improvement and drives the team towards continuous improvements.

  • Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catches on safety issues.

  • Follow-up on safety and quality related issues and drives towards resolution.

  • Uses best known practices and network resources to stay aligned on best known methods both locally and with the global team.

  • Manage projects to ensure deliverables are completed within the required scope, schedule and budget.

  • Track actions and provides escalation path or resources to ensure actions will be completed on time.

  • Drive team to focus on priority issues and stay within the scope of the project.

  • Coordinates and leads meetings and initiates follow-up actions.

  • Conducts regular performance management and professional development of direct reports through clear expectations and accountability.

  • Ensures direct reports utilize the performance management tools, including maintaining documentation to capture feedback, plans, and progress to support performance rating.

  • Defines organizational roles to meet the overall job expectations of the team.

  • Know Micron policies and partner closely with HR business partners.

Applicant Qualifications

Required

  • Formal AS/AAS degree in related field

  • 5 years AMHS experience or equivalent Factory Automation fields

  • 3 years formal leadership role

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

  • 5 Years of recent Semiconductor experience specifically focused in AMHS or equivalent Factory Automation fields

  • 5 years formal leadership role

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficient in English both verbal and written

  • Direct experience with Muratec, Daifuku, or Asyst Shinko AMHS systems

  • Direct experience with Rorze automation systems

  • Five years’ experience leading projects.
