Will partner with staff from various academic program(s) and partner high schools to create a cohesive, transparent experience for high school students participating in the Sophomore Start and Associate Degree options. Will assist in developing and overseeing a comprehensive strategy to support the recruitment, academic advising, and success of high school students participating in the concurrent enrollment program. It will provide comprehensive recruitment to Boise State University, academic advising on course selection and University policies, and assist with tracking of student participants.
This position may have the opportunity to work hybrid where a mix of in-person work from a Boise State worksite and an alternative work location within the State of Idaho. Candidates must be able to work on-site as needed.

The Concurrent Enrollment (CE) program manages the delivery of university classes to high school campuses in the Treasure Valley and surrounding areas. High school students are able to enroll in approved classes for both high school and university credit with the Advanced Opportunities state funding. The CE team supports the Boise State University academic departments and partner high schools. The team provides continued educational guidance for parents about higher education opportunities. Boise State\'s CE program is nationally accredited and offers quality university classes to help students get a head start on their college career.
Level Scope:
Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.
Essential Functions:
Provide academic advising on Concurrent Enrollment Options, primarily focusing on the Sophomore Start and the Associate\'s Degree via individual or group sessions, both in-person or via phone or Zoom.
Provide advice to students about university policies, programs of study and degree options. Utilize academic background, current enrollment, and degree checklists to guide students with more complex academic backgrounds through earning college credits in a degree plan.
Serve as a recognized subject matter expert who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field with limited oversight
Work with high school counselors and administrators to recruit high schools students to the Sophomore Start, and Associate Degree Options.
Help students understand the relationship between academic pathways and general career interest fields.
Support the enrollment, retention and completion goals of the Sophomore Start and Associate Degree participating students and their transition into Boise State upon graduating high school.
Provide accurate information regarding academic programs, admissions, Advanced Opportunities state funding, online courses, degree plans, university policies, and degree options.
Assist with tracking student progress and degree completion rates for the pr grams.
Identify emerging trends that add value to the work completed by the position, incorporate them or recommend improvements, and strive to ensure that Boise State\'s practices are current.
Collaborate with Boise State TRiO Upward Bound program and AVID.
Coordinate events connecting students to Boise State academic departments and establish a focused connection with the Boise State University environment.
Provide support with the evaluation of Concurrent Enrollment program options related to the engagement of stakeholders, processes, and procedures.
Collaborate on the implementation of initiatives that promote student success, retention, and graduation, with a focus on academic, personal, and career development.
Development of student support material, in various formats such as including information documents, video tutorials, newsletters, and learning management systems.
Assist with the development of strategic initiatives to increase the recruitment and retention of underrepresented populations from urban school districts.
Assist with concurrent enrollment classroom presentations and parent information night events.
Participate in NACEP: The National Alliance for Concurrent Enrollment Program.
