To continue to meet our customer-s mission critical needs, DDC is seeking aFacilities Technician Bto join our respected and valued team. The role of theFacilities Technician BPerforms preventative maintenance tasks and repairs on Hybrid, CCA, Beta and Plant Equipment.

This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Commerce license.

This position is 100% on Site in our Bohemia, New York headquarters.

The compensation for this position is $21 - $23 hourly and is Day Shift, 7am - 3:30am.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.

  • Commitment to the Company-s policies, principles, and procedures and adheres to the Company-s procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S), Equal Employment Opportunity (-EEO-), discipline/corrective action, and security.

  • Troubleshoots and repairs standard electro-mechanical equipment such as ovens, furnaces and environmental chambers. Including preventative maintenance on equipment

  • On call for facilities related emergencies.

  • Monitors and procures necessary materials and equipment spare parts as required.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have strong trouble shooting abilities to repair and maintain building and manufacturing equipment.

  • Works well as a member of a team as well as individually on projects and tasks.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Required to drive company vehicles and report any infractions that would limit the ability to operate a company issued vehicle.

  • Communicate - The person in this position frequently communicates with peers. Must be able to exchange

  • efficiently in these situations.

  • Lifting/moving - Must be able to properly move up to 80 pounds.

  • Must be able to work from a ladder when necessary.

  • Ascend/Descend from areas.

    Educational / Experience Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate Degree preferred.

  • Valid driver-s license.

  • 2-5 years of related equipment repair experience, preferably in electronics manufacturing.

  • Any combination of education, training and experience listed above that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

    Work Environment:

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

  • This position requires access to a cleanroom environment. In order to promote an environment with a low level of airborne environmental pollutants employees must at all times adhere to all established cleanroom procedures.

  • Wears Safety Toe Shoes and all required Personal Protective Gear required for the tasks assigned.
