Job Description

Collaborate with other architects and product managers to design and implement critical eCommerce capabilities in our scalable Java platform.

 Build RESTful services to support our web and mobile based applications.

 Implement performance enhancements to continuously improve our APIs.

 Extend and maintain our third-party payment integrations.

 Maintain and improve our cart and checkout processes for our eCommerce website.

 Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, test automation engineers, and agile planners to continuously improve our customer experience.

 Write performant, maintainable, and testable code.

 Participate in an on-call rotation with our entire digital and engineering organizations including Directors and members of our Product team.

 Mentor and coach mid-level and junior-level developers.

Pay Rate: 72-76/HR

Conversion: 150-160K

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

 6+ years of experience with Java and Spring Framework developing a robust API architecture to support an extensive microservices ecosystem.

 6+ years of experience with enterprise relational database systems (MySQL or Postgres): Skilled in writing and optimizing complex queries, ensuring high performance and scalability.

 4+ years of experience with SAP Hybris: Hands-on experience with key modules and customizations, contributing to the overall eCommerce platform.

 2+ years of experience with Kafka development: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain event-driven services, ensuring reliable data streaming and processing.

 2+ years of experience in e-commerce development: Familiarity with the unique challenges and requirements of building and maintaining e-commerce platforms.

 1+ years of experience with Solr preferred: Understanding of search functionalities and optimizations to enhance user experience.

 Experience with Serverless functions in NodeJS: Ability to write and deploy serverless functions, contributing to scalable and efficient services.

 Fundamental understanding of containerization, CI/CD pipelines, messaging systems, and monitoring tools: Proficiency with tools and technologies such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Prometheus.

 Experience with caching strategies: Expertise in implementing caching solutions using CDN and Redis to improve system performance.

 Deep understanding of microservices architecture and Kafka event-based design patterns: Ability to design and implement scalable, event-driven microservices.

 Solid coding practices: Ability to document architecture comprehensively and actively participate in code reviews and pull request (PR) processes to ensure code quality and consistency.
