Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Associate University Registrar - Boca Raton, FL.

Assists the Registrar in managing, directing, coordinating, and controlling activities within the Registrar’s area.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the direct supervisor to the office’s Residency Coordinator, who manages residency reclassification, non-degree application processing, and 60+ audit registration, and acts as the office’s authority on Florida residency matters.

  • Responsible for all aspects of enrollment reporting to external entities, including but not limited to: meeting the reporting requirements as outlined by the Florida Board of Governors (BOG) and providing enrollment data to third-party servicers managing critical processes, such as the National Student Clearinghouse.

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of reported enrollment data by reviewing for discrepancies, addressing and making necessary corrections, and adhering to reporting requirements and external entity standards.

  • Required to monitor and remain current on any changes to internal or external policies, initiatives, and regulations that may affect registrar operations and/or its compliance as it relates to reporting enrollment data.

  • Share leadership responsibilities for the Registrar’s Office in overseeing Banner Student maintenance, configuration, and testing of Banner upgrades.

  • Serve as Account Administrator for 3rd party systems utilized by the Registrar’s Office.

  • Facilitate any required internal and external audit requests.

  • Ensures that the daily operations of the Office are compliant with the University, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations.

  • Ensures the proper storage, security, accuracy, and preservation of academic records in compliance with university policy, state regulations, and privacy laws are being followed.

  • Responsible for evaluating business processes and operating systems to recommend and develop improvements or implement necessary changes to university registrar operations, often leading the implementation of such changes.

  • Performs related job-related duties as required or deemed appropriate to the accomplishment of the responsibilities and functions of the office.

  • Serve on various institutional committees.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and five years of appropriate experience required.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

Over four years of experience in a college or university setting (preferably within a registrar's office), including at least three years of leadership in a high-volume, customer service-focused academic environment.

Proven progressive management experience in higher education, ideally within enrollment services, advising, or other student services roles.

Strong communication, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Demonstrated success in collaborating effectively with faculty, students, administrators, and staff at all institution levels.

Experience with Ellucian Banner Student.

Experience navigating enrollment and degree reporting regulations, including National Student Clearinghouse (NSC).

Working knowledge of all areas providing student and academic support services: Admissions, Controller’s Office/Bursar, Financial Aid, and colleges.

In-depth understanding of student records administration.

Experience writing and updating policies.

Experience interpreting federal and state regulations and implementing successful processes to ensure compliance.

Willingness and ability to learn and quickly adapt to new technologies, processes, and procedures.

Salary:

$65,000 - $75,000 per year.
