Actalent Controls Engineer in Bluffton, Indiana

Job Title: Controls Engineer

As a Controls Engineer, you will be instrumental in maintaining our industrial automation equipment. Your role involves assisting in the integration of new equipment, working alongside external technicians for proper installment, and ensuring our systems are up-to-date and functioning efficiently.

Hard Skills

  • Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, etc.

  • 3+ years of controls engineering experience

  • Proficiency with Rockwell PLCs

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing

  • Proficient in using AutoCAD electrical for developing/editing drawings of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Soft Skills

  • Ability to identify components needing replacement such as relays, fuses, circuit breakers, and wiring

  • Capable of performing process improvements to minimize downtime

  • Skilled in using Maintenance Information Management Systems for logging technical repairs or improvements

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Bluffton, Indiana.

Work Environment

A large, clean manufacturing environment. This position is for the 1st shift, operating from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with minimal overtime and no weekend work required.
