This role is 100% onsite

It is a multi site position - Main Site 95 % Blue Earth, MN & 5% Vinton, IA

The HSE Manager will ensure programs are effective to reflect in TRIR. Trainings are up to date. Inspections for EHS as a whole are completed weekly, monthly, annually. Ensure permits and certifications are up to date. Partner with department managers to ensure KPIs are met by employees, supervisors, and managers (trainings, inspections, observations, etc.).

The typical hiring range for this role is $90,000 (minimum) to $122,000 (75% range penetration) annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).

What would you do?

  • Support business strategy to ensure all HSE directives, policies, and initiatives are effectively incorporated at site level.

  • Develop, implement, and execute HSE annual objectives & improvement plans in conjunction with site operations management and Regional HSE Manager.

  • Develop appropriate strategies for implementation of new or revised policies and regulations in conjunction with site operations management and Regional HSE Manager.

  • Lead implementation and management of site ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

  • Identify site HSE training needs, develop appropriate resources, and execute training sessions for employees and management staff as required.

  • Support site supervisors with the investigation of HSE incidents at the site. Where necessary, lead investigation process and/or collaborate with appropriate corporate staff on serious incidents.

  • Partner with Human Resources to monitor the status of all open Workers Compensation claims and coordinate activities to minimize lost and/or restricted workdays.

What You Will Need To Be Successful And Safe

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field of study required.

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.

  • In depth knowledge of HSE regulations including OSHA, EPA, and local requirements.

  • Knowledge and experience with relevant consensus standards such as NFPA and ANSI, and systems such as ISO 14001.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Strong Computer Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Must be 100% hands on and able to manage difficult tasks under pressure.

  • Travel up to 25% to other facilities within the EUM for support projects.
