The Senior Project Engineer will be accountable for the execution of improvement-focused projects, and training of staff for multiple shifts. The Engineer will be responsible to prepare project funding requests from $3K to $2M, and in most instances will manage and direct construction contractors.-

• Support or lead capital projects for multiple departments at the plant-

• Support production by investigating and solving inefficiencies due to logistics, processes, equipment, materials, or product specifications.-

• Research alternative solutions for raw materials, production equipment and processes, scrap mitigation and logistics, finished goods packaging and transport, etc.-

• Validate product performance against industry standards and/or by developing internal criteria and methods of evaluation.-

• Adhere to all company environmental and safety policies for corporate offices, manufacturing facilities, and external work locations.-

• Continuously evaluate workplace for safety concerns and ensure behavioral safety initiatives are performed to goal levels.-

• Develop/Install/Commission Plant Equipment Systems and design and execute retrofit projects involving varying equipment issues--

• Identify and implement projects to improve the reliability (availability) of the plant.- Study past failures, identify root causes and implement solutions.--

• Direct contractors, third-party engineering partners and suppliers-

What do you bring?

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical)

• 10 – 15 years of experience Working in an Engineering role in continuous process manufacturing plants, or similar

• 5 to 10 years of experience working in leading capital and non-capital improvement projects with budgeted guidelines

• Experience PM technologies (vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic), the sciences of heat transfer and flow of solids, liquids and powder.

• Experience with P&I, Equipment Layout Drawings, grinding, conveying, mixing, forming, design optimization & troubleshooting.

• Experience with project cost estimating, competitive bidding, critical path scheduling, resource funding, and capital funding.

• Knowledge of or experience utilizing WCM, EEM, Kaizens, Lean, TPM, Root Cause, PFMEA & DFMEA toolsets.

• Very good knowledge of EH&S standards

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $99,900 to $154,800 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $112,887 to $174,924.
