Description

We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for a Sr. Accountant role in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry located in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is primarily responsible for managing the books and records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, and performing various accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely month end close processing and financial statement review and distribution.

• Create and review reports, analyze variances, and distribute to management.

• Assist with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to STAT entries and tracking.

• Assist leadership with collecting support and tracking during various audits.

• Perform other accounting projects and functions as assigned.

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Microsoft Excel to complete tasks and fulfill responsibilities.

• Conduct Month End Close procedures in an efficient and timely manner.

Requirements • Must possess proficiency in account reconciliation

• Balance sheet reconciliation skills are essential

• Expertise in bank reconciliations is required

• Familiarity with general ledger management is crucial

• Must have experience in preparing journal entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is needed

• Experience in handling month end close activities is paramount

• A background in the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry is preferred

• Must hold a relevant degree or equivalent work experience in accounting or a related field

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial

• Should have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Must possess excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations is required.
