Our Journeyman Sheetmetal Mechanics are skilled professionals that can install duct work, measure, lay out fittings, and other related materials in new or existing commercial construction jobs. Our Journeymen Sheetmetal pros work alongside helpers and apprentices with minimal direct supervision, as they install various HVAC and ventilation-related components during commercial construction or renovation projects. Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Reading and understanding mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specs.
Following and role-modeling a commitment to safety requirements.
Installing hangers and ductwork in new commercial buildings.
Mold and craft sheet metal to fit the need of the projects while following all necessary building codes.
Train and develop Apprentices on the tools and skills needed to properly install HVAC components.
Experience, Training, and/or Certifications:
5 or more years of Sheet Metal experience in a commercial or industrial field.
Ability to show required schooling and hours worked to be considered a Journeyman.
NCCER certification preferred.

Familiarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materials.
Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening.
Ability to pass a physical ability test.
Ability to travel, as needed, for projects.
Must have High School diploma or equivalency and a valid driver’s license.
