CARINGBRIDGE Automated Test Engineer in Blooomington, Minnesota

CaringBridge seeks an Automated Test Engineer in Bloomington, MN. POSITION DUTIES: Provide strategic and tactical guidance for the Quality Assurance area to ensure that the CaringBridge products, including web, mobile and social networking, meet the quality and functional expectations. Provide definition, development and deployment of the Quality Assurance (QA) strategies, processes and metrics, addressing all phases of the software development life cycle. Ensure the delivery of quality assurance testing to meet business and user goals and objectives. Participate in Agile ceremonies and promote software engineering best practices. Manages the viability, functionality and effectiveness of the QA environment (hardware platforms and software tools) by utilizing test automation and regressions. Create and maintain the planning and execution of release/deployment testing efforts, including all associated personnel and environment resources required to meet committed delivery dates. Design, deploy, and maintain automated testing scripts based on requirements. Write product release test lists (requirements), test cases and test scripts based upon specification documents and business user interactions. Anticipate product release problems and take corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve commitments. Conducts test planning, test execution, defect (bug) tracking and reporting, and follow-up and issue resolution. Survey markets for industry and technology trends and opportunities that may support CaringBridge s goals and objectives. Position allows work from home anywhere in the U.S. Annual salary between $73,000 - $97,400. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The qualified candidate must have at least a Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field. The qualified candidate must have at 2 years (24 months) of experience with all the following: (a) working in quality assurance; (b) working with the Agile methodology; (c) developing and maintaining automation frameworks; (d) designing, developing, deploying, and enhancing automations scripts; (e) conducting regression testing; (f) working with responsive web design and development techniques; and (g) utilizing all the following tools/technologies: Git, Windows and Linux operating systems. Position allows work from home anywhere in the U.S. All experience may be gained concurrently.
