DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Residential Program Worker, you will provide valuable assistance to individuals in the mental health community residential rehabilitation (CRR) program who are engaged in the recovery process. This is a fulfilling opportunity to help those with behavioral health and co-occurring challenges to obtain the skills necessary to live independently and integrate into the community. Work includes assisting with the development and implementation of individual service plans as well as counseling clients to effectively process daily stressors, educational and vocational responsibilities, and personal values. You may also be required to provide transportation for clients as necessary.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Part-time employment at a 24 hour, 7 days a week Residential Facility Work hours may vary, Sunday - Saturday. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months of experience as a Residential Program Trainee; or One year of experience in a Human Services Agency working with the mentally disabled, the elderly, or children and youth; or Two years of college which includes courses appropriate to the Human Services field; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
