HealthPartners is hiring for a full-time RideCare Scheduler. QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED TESTING: Alpha-numeric data entry test (4,000 keystrokes per hour) REQUIRED: High School diploma or GED One year experience in an office environment using data look-up and data entry functions on a mainframe or PC based computer system Two years customer service experience either via telephone or in-person within the last 5 years Demonstrated ability to organize work under pressure Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions Excellent oral communication skills Excellent written communication skills PREFERRED: Experience using HCSS, Cache, MN-ITS or Metro Transit website Working geographical knowledge of metro and non-metro areas Experience working in a highly regulated environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Oral and written communications with customers requires adequate speech, vision, and hearing. Proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in other languages may be required. Use of a telephone and computer terminal also requires adequate hand writing and manual dexterity skills. POSITION PURPOSE: Service excellence is to be centered on patient relationships and experience and is the responsibility of all employees. Teamwork is the norm and all employees will be held accountable to work as effective team members. This position represents HealthPartners to our Medicaid members by arranging their non-emergency medical transportation benefit to their covered medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy appointments. To effectively coordinate and schedule transportation needs of patients in a timely and accurate manner, while employing stewardship and being member-centered. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Access HCSS to verify membership and eligibility. Schedule patient's transportation needs via multiple modes of transportation using the HCSS system. Create a service event to document each call. Service event may be routed to another owner or as FYI, as needed, for supervisor review. Answer phone and make outbound calls to patients and facilities to coordinate non-emergent transportation to or from a medical facility. Work on additional projects, as assigned, such as creating DTRs, submitting nightly orders to Metro Transit, enter medical waivers, etc. Serve as a resource to clinics / facilities and staff regarding transportation needs. Provide information to leadership regarding issues with a vendor to assist with problem solving. Facilitate patient referrals for emergency care / transport. Transfer the call to the CareLine nurses for triage and work with the nurse to select the most appropriate transportation. Using multiple tools, determine the most appropriate and cost-effective mode of transportation for each requested ride. Print and mail ride summaries for our members, and fax provider waiver requests. When appropriate, mail or courier bus passes, GoTo cards and Metro Mobility passes to our members. Pull voicemails from the previous night /weekend and arrange transportation and/or call the member back to clarify. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
