The Business Development Representative role is fantastic entry-level opportunity into a variety of sales careers at Donaldson. The role interacts on a daily basis with Sales Operations, field-based Territory Managers (United States and Canada), Strategic Sales and Marketing to identify ideal customers, gain access and drive opportunity for the equipment business. The role is on a growing team and ideal for someone with an outgoing personality, strong communication skills, customer-centric mindset and who is comfortable prospecting and collaborating with a variety of teams. Ideal candidates must be able to work out of our Bloomington, MNoffice. Role Responsibilities: This position is primarily responsible for prospecting, lead nurturing and sales calls directly from/to prospective and/or existing customers. Partner with direct and indirect sales team to help execute sales action plan for selected territory/account. Collaborate with Sales Operations, Strategic Sales, Marketing and other functions to generate leads. Play a key role in qualifying marketing leads (MQLs) into sales qualified leads (SQLs) and record it in CRM/Engage. Leverage Technology and tools to increase customer touch points and expand intimacy (Virtual Selling). Perform activities such as lead follow-up and nurturing, sales qualification and proposal generation to meet or exceed established performance targets Effectively build rapport with customers by probing for needs and recommending appropriate solutions. Work with Sales Reps to prepare strategic plans to identify potential incremental opportunities for the business. May arrange meetings, presentations and literature for discussions and demos for the sales organization. May proactively solicit new partnership initiation with end users, engineering firms and resale channel. Identify opportunities for up selling products and services for overall Industrial Business. Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years of sales or customer support experience High School diploma Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Strong Communication Skills Time and Project Management Skills Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) Interest in a career in Sales Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics/SalesForce or ZoomInfo Engage Key words: Lead Generation, Sales Engagement, Business Development, Sales #LI-Hybrid Employment opportunities for positions in the United States may require use of information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
