The Cigna Group Agile Product Owner Advisor - Express Scripts - Hybrid in Bloomington, Minnesota

Agile Product Advisor represents the “voice of the customer” at the team level, maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog, to ensure that the team is working on features that maximize business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to all customers. They must have strong business acumen and experience, with either some past experience working with technology teams, or the ability and interest to learn how to work with technology teams. As a Business Product Owner, this position will be accountable to the Operational leaders in PBM Services for managing a specific technology Product to help deliver strategic solutions and ensure product health and stability.

The role will be primarily responsible for the development associated with Client Benefit Management which supports cross-functional teams via a user interface that allows general pharmacy benefit configuration and integrated hierarchy management to support accurate adjudication of pharmacy claims. Solicitation of requirements from the business and clients will be crucial for success. This person will drive the business strategies into prioritized initiatives for the technology teams along with our business configuration teams and be able to respond to urgent issues in their specific function without losing focus on longer term deliverables. May lead internal cross-department IT initiatives and may participate on cross-functional initiatives for Express Scripts.

Essential Functions

  • Works directly with the business capability leads to identify, understand and prioritize user stories aligned with the epics.

  • Establish success criteria and measures progress/value delivered

  • Decision making authority: Final arbiter of intake requirements and delivery acceptance criteria

  • Works with the TPO, scrum team leads and the business capability leads to maximize value from the delivery of the prioritized user stories.

  • Work with IT Product Owners and other Business Product Owners on backlog prioritization across business products

  • Works with agile team to understand requirements and find the optimal solution to solve user problem

  • Actively participate and contribute in agile ceremonies including but not limited to daily scrums, story mapping, decomp and refinement session, PI Planning events.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 10 plus years of experience in information systems or agile product management environment required

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project, and Windows in a work environment required

  • Knowledge of and experience in Pharmacy Benefits Management and Healthcare industries preferred

  • Proven success leading large, complex enterprise projects to desired outcomes preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of and demonstrable experience in project situations requiring knowledge of scope, cost, and schedule management preferred

  • Demonstrable experience in client-facing or client-serving situations required

  • Proven ability to build and strengthen relationships and build solid networks preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with structured project management techniques preferred

  • Experience with software development methodology and knowledge of agile methodology, Confluence and JIRA is a plus

  • Demonstrable analytical and critical thinking skill and strong problem solving skills a plus

  • Excellent organization skills with ability to multi-task and drive multiple priorities at the same time preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly and openly communicate status, issues/risks, and challenges presented to project, as well as ability to create clear and concise presentations required
