Catalent Pharma Solutions Specialist I, Supply Chain - Planning in Bloomington, Indiana

We're hiring a Specialist I, Supply Chain - Planning, to support materials management for our facility in Bloomington, Indiana!

The primary responsibility of Specialist I, Supply Chain - Planning is to support an assigned Manufacturing area regarding inventory control, including use of ERP systems such as JD Edwards. The position follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory control, including the scheduling and review of the cycle count and physical inventory programs. This is a full-time, hourly position and is 100% on-site. The schedule is a rotating Weekend PM shift.

Catalent Biologics in Bloomington, Indiana is a state-of-the-art, GMP manufacturing facility, providing one million sq/ft of drug substance manufacturing, drug product manufacturing, and related pharmaceutical services. The Role

  • Performs critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct number of items are in stock including identifying, investigating, and correcting inventory discrepancies.

  • Identifies and improves internal processes to drive reduction in inventory discrepancies.

  • Tracks rates of accuracy as well as defective items to inform quality control and stocking level decisions.

  • Monitors and manages expired, obsolescent, and non-conforming material inventory ensuring physical and system level controls are followed according to SOP.

  • Recognizes deviations from standard procedure.

  • Develops and/or supports the development of departmental SOPs.

  • Maintains effectiveness of the Quality System.

  • Actively participates, suggests solutions to problems.

  • Developed knowledge and skills through formal training or considerable work experience.

  • Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Technical Certificate or higher preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with supply chain-related responsibilities preferred.

  • Prior computerized inventory management system/ERP experience preferred.

  • Prior cGMP experience preferred.

  • Prior Microsoft Excel and Word experience preferred.
